Why is weather heavily featured in US local News bulletins?
Unlike most other countries and the national newscasts where there is only 1 weather bulletin per hour or half hour, weather in local news is checked at the beginning, a couple of minutes later and immediately before the newscast closes. Furthermore, it seems as if the weather personalities and weather segments in local news are highly promoted.
Because we like it that way over here.
If you only want your weather reports once an hour – that is fine with us.
